How To Choose A Stationary Spinning Bike
Some of the most popular indoor workouts are performed on a stationary spinning bike. These types of bikes enable you to develop your strength and endurance. They may be adjusted to suit your requirements and make you much more comfortable, and they might be placed nearly anyplace in your home. You'll be able to even place one in front of your television set.
The first issues you will need to look at when you happen to be thinking of getting one of these exercise bikes is cost, dependability, and guarantee. A spinning bike might cost between five hundred and four thousand dollars, so you'll need to locate one that is within the range of your spending budget.
Do not sacrifice good quality and dependability for low prices though. You need to make certain that your spinning bike will be able to support your weight, has a seat which will not fall off, and will last you for a while. A lot of of them can hold up to 350 pounds of weight. Look for bikes made out of aluminum or stainless steel so that you do not need to worry about corrosion. Make certain that your exercise bike comes with a warranty, so if anything goes awry you will not have to be concerned. It is possible to actually uncover bikes that have life long warranties.
When you've looked at these critical points, you can then think about the added features. Spinning bikes come with a number of accessories and add-ons, dependent on how much you wish to pay.
Quite a few sites will let you custom select the color of the bicycle, the type of pedals, and even what warranty you want to get. You will find some that come with heart rate monitors and mileage counters. If you will be willing to spend lots of extra money, you'll be able to get a bike that has a television screen with it that your I-pod can plug into. There's no end to the options.
Making a choice on whether to purchase your new stationary bicycle on the internet or at a local retailer is a personal choice. Shop around and see where you can get the best deal.
You may well even be able to purchase a used exercise bike from the classified listings. If you choose to purchase one used, test it out first and discover everything it is possible to about it. Keep in mind, used bikes do not come with warranties, so if something goes wrong you have to pay for it.
Buying a stationary spinning bike may be fun and easy. All you will need to do is investigate the product you are considering, determine what you'll be able to spend, and make certain that the bike is of very good quality. Before you know it, you will be losing weight and building endurance.

Riding a stationary bike, should I take days off for muscle building?
For other exercises i have been advised to take days off, I was wondering if riding my stationary bike bicycle is such an activity.
Riding a bike (stationary or road), walking, running, jogging etc. are classified as cardio exercises which can be done daily, if possible.
When using weights (hand held, machines, or body weight) most trainers will advise at least a day (preferably two) between workouts.
This is to allow muscle to develop properly without overtaxing your
system. So, ride, walk, run, jog Monday to Saturday. Rest Sunday.
Work with weights EITHER MONDAY WEDNESDAY FRIDAY or
TUESDAY, THURSDAY, SATURDAY. Rest Sunday.
Or whatever schedule works with your lifestyle. Just be sure to allow 24-48 hours between workouts in which you use any type of weights.
Rep. Senger recovering from knee surgery (Arlington Heights Daily Herald)
We spotted Rep. Darlene Senger on the House floor today sporting a large,
white leg brace, as you can see in this excellent Blackberry photo.
Turns out, the Naperville Republican tore her ACL and MCL late last year while
riding her bike with her family.
She says she swerved to avoid hitting a squirrel and bailed.
Ouch.
As a cyclist, I empathize.
She was walking on it, with the brace's help, on the House floor today. And
she says it's getting better.
Last week, Senger was in a rehab session and having trouble making a full
revolution with the pedals of a stationary bicycle. Then a staff member called
to talk about pensions.
Off she went.
