Exercise For Strength
There are literally thousands of strength training routines available to choose from.Through resistance training you really can challenge your body and muscles.By performing a routine several times each week you can really enhance the tone and appearance of your body. You must ensure that you stick to the routine in order to achieve the best possible results.
Some common examples include using weights or performing push-ups, leg presses, sit ups, yoga and so on. The goal of strength training is to target particular groups of muscles and to repeat movements until a burn or fatigue is felt.By repeating the exercise up to around 15 times you will be sure to see results. To make the workout even more effective you could try adding pieces of toning equipment, such as arm and leg weights.Start out slowly, by picking 5 exercises and performing 5 repetitions 3 times per week and gradually build up from there.
Lunges
You should stand with your feet shoulder width apart. Take one long stride forward, bending at the knee.Slowly lower your knee towards the floor.Hold this position for a maximum of eight seconds, then repeat with the other leg. Do this up to 15 times on each leg.
Squats
Stand upright, feet slightly apart. With your back straight slowly bend your knees, lowering your bottom until your thighs are level with the floor. Hold, then slowly return to an upright position.
Calf Raises
Stand on a step right at the edge and lower and raise your legs. This movement creates a long stretch through your calf muscle but does not cause any strain.
Crunches
Lie on the floor with your knees bent and your feet flat.Cross your arms over your chest and slowly raise your upper body from the floor until you reach your knees. Then lower your body back to its original position. Repeat this up to 15 times.
There really are so many benefits you can gain from carrying out simple exercises like this.Firstly, you will have strong and healthy muscles that look absolutely fantastic.By having stronger muscles you will be less injury prone. As your body becomes more toned the areas of fat around your body will be reduced. Finally, you burn calories faster when you have more muscle in your body. These are some pretty powerful incentives and should certainly motivate you to perform a few simple strength-training exercises.

The claim? Working out with a kettlebell (a weight that resembles a cannonball
with a handle attached to the top) burns more calories and builds strength
faster than traditional strength training. Gyms across the country are adding
kettlebell classes, and many personal trainers incorporate the weights into
clients' workouts — all with the promise of an outsize payoff. The truth? New
research suggests that kettlebells really may get you fitter faster. In a
small study from the University...
