If you are reading this, then you probably want to increase your personal trainer income. According to many surveys, fitness professionals eagerly want a greater salary.

First off, stop billing on a session by session basis. Stop offering packages of personal fitness training sessions! Instead offer 3, 6, or even 12 month agreements. An agreement is a kind word for contract. However, I wouldn't call it a contract in front of clients because nobody likes signing contracts. They much rather prefer signing an agreements.
After a new clients agrees to your 3, 6, or 12 month contract, then you are guaranteed personal training income for that specific duration. The client has made an investment in you as a personal fitness trainer for a specified duration. No longer are you required to sell new training packages after every 5, or 10 completed training sessions.
2. Get client on automatic debit every month as stated in your agreement.
Let's face it, fitness pros hate asking for money. After all, we are teachers, and not sales people.
Automatic debit is the smartest way of collecting money from your clients. Doing so will take away the uncomfortable money topic.
This will help you, the fitness pro, in two distinct ways. Number one, it will make sure you get paid, and paid on time. Doing so will improve your accounts receivable base. This will help your personal training income. Secondly, you will save valuable time from having to collect money. Are you a fitness coach, or bill collector? It is much better to invest your time, and energy on training clients instead of collecting for your personal training salary.
3. Leverage your time by modeling top earning fitness business owners, and start creating additional profit centers.
If you want to increase your personal training income, then watch, and do what the top money earning fitness pros do. Cleverly model what they are doing by following proven success traits.
Many trainers elevate their fitness income by creating additional profit centers such as developing information products, selling workout equipment, and even offering a nutritional food analysis service.

Should I send my resume in to my employer? ?
I have been working for the same company for just over 6 years now. I have a degree in this field and have gotten a few promotions. I work in the hotel business and I started off in reservations, reservations trainer, front desk, front desk 3rd shift manager, front desk manager on duty 1st and 2nd shift, and have been a front office manager for over 3 years. I have let them know many times I am ready to take the next step to become a GM and have asked that I be informed when positions become available. I recently found out that they are building a few properties and they have hired someone already for one of the properties and so I looked online a found out they are looking for a GM at the other hotel opening soon. Do I send my resume to my employer or do I move on and look else were, since I do not feel they are taking me serious?
If you are really this qualified and you want to relocate or move up, then something is not happening that should be. It could be that your current supervisor has it so good with you that he/she doesn't want to let you get away.
You need to contact whoever is at the head HR office in charge of hiring, and, at the same time let your immediate supervisor know of your desire to move up the ladder.
Do not threaten to quit (the job market is too bad now) but continue to do even a better job with a bigger smile. You never know who might be watching you to see how your work ethics really are without supervision. Get it???
Also how you handle this will show a lot about your professionalism.
Do not go over heads.
It could be, though, that each location is operated independently - but you need to find out.
You might make a confidential call to the very head HR department just to ask them the protocol - your intentions, and the proper procedure or steps to take.
